Pinanga sp. Thai Mottled Palm
Name: Pinanga sp. Thai Mottled Palm
Description: A low growing, clustering, undescribed species from Southeast Asia with slender stems and wonderfully mottled leaves. The spots rage from lime to dark green with occasional new growth emerging reddish purple.
Care: Keep the soil moist but not soggy. This understory palm is best grown outdoors in shade, Zones 10-11. As they get older they acclimate to lower humidity conditions fairly easily. In colder zones they can be kept in containers outside to enjoy the warm months but must be brought inside before winter. Direct light can cause the mottling to fade.
NOTE: The item pictured is similar to the plant you will receive. Plants are unique; the shape, size, color and number of leaves may sometimes vary. Contact our shop if you have any questions. All Plants and Fruit are grown with care on a small family farm in South Florida.
