Licuala Mattanensis Mapu
Name: Licuala Mapu, Licuala Mattanensis
Description: A Rare Collectors item. Licuala Mapu is slow growing palm, which in ideal conditions can reach approximately 9 feet tall when fully mature. Native to Sarawak Licuala Mapu is most known for its strikingly divided, mottled foliage which sits atop it's slender trunk.
Care: A tropical lowland palm, Licuala Mapu should be grown in part shade/low light and provided warm temps and high humidity. Protect from strong winds and cold temperatures. Provide a rich, well draining and slightly acidic soil and water often, allowing the water to flow freely out of the pot. Cold Hardiness Zone: 10b Can be grown in greenhouses if their preferred conditions are replicated.
