Name: Licuala fractiflexa, Rare palm
Description & Care: A recently described and rare collectors palm from the rainforests of the Malay peninsula. The large species has fan shaped, segmented leaves and orange stalks. It should be grown in part shade/low light and provided warm temps and moderately high humidity. Protect from strong winds and cold temperatures. Provide a rich, well draining and slightly acidic soil. Water often, allowing the water to flow freely out of the pot. Cold Hardiness Zone: 10b Can be grown in greenhouses if their preferred conditions are replicated.
