Name: Rare Dypsis sp. Maroantsetra
Description: Found in Madagascar near Maroantsetra, Dypsis sp. Maroantsetra is a rare undescribed understory species with bow-tie leaflets that emerge red/maroon/bronze and a slender trunk.
Care: A rich, slightly acidic soil with very good drainage is best. Like many other palms they prefer moist soil, but are sensitive to being overwatered. Part shade and humid conditions are best. Protect from strong winds and freezing temps.
